At Dun A Rí Blinds we offer two types of curtains. Made to measure and ready-made curtains.
Our made to measure curtains provide a personalised experience. This includes a home visit, measuring, sample viewing, measuring windows and making your curtains specifically for your window.
We also provide high-quality ready-made curtains for your home. For this option, you can call into our store and buy our ready-made curtains.
MADE TO MEASURE CURTAINS
Our team of professional fitters have years of experience, which will ensure that your curtains are fitted correctly and look stunning.
Alternatively, you can measure your own windows, this service enables you to receive a quick quote... We can also make your curtains using your own measurements but cannot be held responsible for any measuring errors.
We have a very extensive range of curtain fabrics that can be custom made to your exact requirements. Just select a fabric, then select a lining (Standard, Blackout, or Interlining) and then select a heading (pencil, pinch pleat, eyelets, or wave) and your new made to measure curtains will be made and usually ready in around 10 working days.
Dun A Rí Blinds offers a full measuring and fitting service. Once you have been in contact with our company, we can send one of our representatives to measure your windows.
Alternatively, you can call into our Navan showroom where one of our curtain team can help you with your curtain design and fabric choice. We can supply and fit all brands of tracks and poles.
Sheer Curtain Fabric
Voile and Muslin are very similar. Muslin is a coarser fabric while voile is a finer fabric which has a bit more of a flow to it. Voile curtains work the same as the muslin, they are light and sheer providing privacy without blocking out the light. The difference is the voile is tighter woven from fine yarn. Muslin Fabric seems to be a popular choice and we have up 20 colours for you to choose from. Muslin is a plain open weave cotton fabric used for many things such as clothing, upholstery, sewing patterns and curtains. It is a sheer, lightweight and breathable fabric. People use muslin fabric for layering curtains mostly used on a double pole system to layer under an opaque curtain. This allows the sunlight to shine through while providing privacy when curtains are opened during the day, but at night when the lights are on they are transparent which is why they are used with opaque curtain.
